Chronic respiratory diseases are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Some of the most common chronic respiratory diseases are asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and occupational lung diseases.
This section publishes high-quality research from basic science, experimental model, epidemiological and translational clinical studies that focus on epigenetic regulation in susceptibility to and progression and treatment of respiratory disease. Studies that focus on the epigenetic effects of environmental exposures relevant to respiratory disease such as tobacco smoke and air pollution are also welcomed.
