Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining of TSUPr1 cells showing apoptotic damage to the drug treated cells (a without 5-azadC; b with 5.0 μM 5-azadC) and immunocytochemistry of TSUPr1 cells directed against caspase-3 antibodies. Sub-confluent cells were fixed by 10% formalin and were permeabilized by 0.1% triton X-100 in PBS. The endogenous peroxidase activity was blocked by incubation in 5% H2O2 in methanol for 20 min. The cells were pre-blocked using Ultra V block (Lab Vision) for 10 min and incubated overnight at 4°C with goat polyclonal antibody against caspase-3.
