To reach iso-energicity, energy metabolism (via glucose and oxygen) is required, which is deterministically regulated. Arrow indicates direction to reach the iso-energetic state. Once the brain near iso-energetic nondeterministic processes, such as random, stochastic and chaotic processes, become possible, more complex functions are confined to the iso-energetic brain and are thus less deterministic
